Daniel Boyer, Principal

Daniel Boyer is a Canadian mediator, arbitrator, and adjudicator. His approach is influenced by a decade of experience in the social services sector, where he worked with thousands of people with diverse needs, experiences, and abilities.

He founded Northbridge Resolution to bridge the gap between these two worlds, helping governments, tribunals, and other institutions make dispute resolution more accessible, understandable, and fair to self-represented individuals — while also making processes more efficient and decisions more sound.

Daniel currently sits on the City of Toronto’s Administrative Penalty Tribunal, the Ontario Condominium Authority Tribunal, the Professional Engineers of Ontario’s Discipline and Registration Committees, the City of Vaughan’s Administrative Penalty Tribunal, the Discipline Committees of the Human Resources Professionals Association and the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority, and the Complaints Committee of the the Ontario Professional Planners Institute. Previously, he sat on decision-making boards for Legal Aid Ontario and the Ontario Trillium Foundation, and on the governance boards of several not-for-profit organizations including Family Service Toronto, PTP Adult Learning and Employment Programs, and the City of Toronto’s 519 Community Centre. Earlier in his career, Daniel gained years of experience as a front-line worker, consultant, and educator in the social services sector.

Daniel holds a degree in Global Conflict Studies from the University of Waterloo, and numerous certifications in Adjudication, Arbitration, and Dispute Resolution from Osgoode and York University.
